NAMI – National Alliance on Mental Illness

Heritage Oaks Hospital strongly supports the efforts throughout our community of NAMI by participating as a Gold Sponsor for the annual Northern California NAMI Walk event fundraiser. Every year the Heritage Oaks Hospital walk team attends the walk to help NAMI raise community awareness about mental health issues. NAMI also provides services to those individuals suffering and recovering from mental illness and to the families who support them.

Mental Health America

Mental Health America is a nonprofit organization devoted to helping all individuals to lead mentally healthy lives.

Mental Health Association – California

The Mental Health Association in California provides education, information and advocacy for all individuals requiring mental health care. They ensure that those who require such care receive mental health care on the appropriate level of care.

Each Mind Matters a movement in California that encompasses millions of individuals and thousands of organizations working to advance mental health.

The National Action Alliance

Heritage Oaks Hospital is proud to work towards improving effective suicide prevention efforts within healthcare settings as called for in the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention (National Strategy). We are committed to providing education and resources to the communities we serve, working to provide best practice care to our patients.

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), which provides care through its national network of subsidiaries, has supported the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance) as an Executive Committee member for over a decade. The Action Alliance is the country’s public-private partnership, working to advance the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention, which includes the goal of expanding implementation of best practices for suicide care across the country.
