Programs & Services
Heritage Oaks Hospital offers a number of treatment services based on need and age. Our main location in Sacramento offers inpatient services to adults, while our three outpatient centers offer less restrictive outpatient treatment options. We also provide Dual Diagnosis services to patients with both a primary psychiatric diagnosis and chemical dependency.
Inpatient Services
The goal of our inpatient programs is to effectively treat adults and senior adults suffering from acute psychiatric and/or addiction issues.
In our Acute Inpatient Program we provide an initial assessment, diagnosis and rapid stabilization of acute psychiatric and co-occurring disorders (psychiatric and substance abuse disorders), followed by a smooth transition to less intensive, appropriate levels of follow-up care and support.
Dual Diagnosis
Heritage Oaks takes a multidisciplinary approach to treating individuals with co-occurring psychiatric disorders and chemical dependency. Dual diagnosis services include inpatient care, partial hospitalization and outpatient programs. We are contracted with most insurance companies.
Outpatient Services
Heritage Oaks Hospital provides outpatient services at our Branches outpatient centers in and around the Sacramento area. Our outpatient programs incorporate a range of services to adolescents, adults and seniors, tailored to help each patient achieve their treatment goals.
Adolescent Treatment Services
Branches provides outpatient care to teens, ages 13–17. Services begin with an initial assessment, diagnosis and rapid stabilization of acute psychiatric and/or substance abuse problems, followed by a smooth transition to less intensive, appropriate levels of follow-up care and support for the teen.
Adult Treatment Services
Together, Heritage Oaks Hospital and Branches outpatient locations offer acute inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services and dual diagnosis services to adults ages 18 and older suffering from mental health disorders and/or mental health disorders coupled with substance abuse problems.
Senior Adult Treatment Services
Together, Heritage Oaks Hospital and Branches outpatient locations offer a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care for seniors age 62 and over. Our comprehensive program is designed to treat the complex psychiatric and substance abuse problems of older adults with primary psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
